Sealed or electronic bids will be received by the Board of Supervisors of Oktibbeha County, Mississippi at the Oktibbeha County Courthouse, Starkville, Mississippi, until 10:00 A.M. on the 24th day of September, 2024 and shortly thereafter publicly opened for the construction of 0.112 miles of BRIDGE AND APPROACHES on the STURGIS WEST POINT ROAD being known as Project No. SAP-53(83) in Oktibbeha County, Mississippi.

CONTRACT TIME: 120 Working Days
BASIS OF AWARD
The award, if made, will be made to the lowest qualified bidder on the basis of published quantities. The Board of Supervisors hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprise will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS are on file in the Office of the Chancery Clerk of Oktibbeha County, the County Engineer’s office and the Office of the State Aid Engineer, 412 E. Woodrow Wilson Avenue, Jackson, Mississippi. This project shall be constructed in accordance with the latest edition of the Mississippi Standard Specifications for State Aid Road and Bridge Construction.
PLANS AND PROPOSALS are being made available via paper or digital copy. Plan Holders are required to log-in or register for an account to view or order bid documents at www.pritchardengineeringplans.com. Bid documents are non-refundable and must be purchased through the website. Questions regarding website registration and online orders please contact Plan House at 662-407-0193. For questions related to the contract documents contact Pritchard Engineering at 662-324-2205. No partial sets of drawings or project manuals will be issued.
Proposal shall be submitted on Bid Forms provided with the specifications. Bids may be submitted in person, or for those interested, bids can be electronically submitted at www.pritchardengineeringplans.com under the project page. No oral, telegraphic, telephonic, or e-mail proposals will be considered. For sealed bids, the current Certificate of Responsibility Number of the bidder shall appear on the outside of each sealed envelope containing a proposal, said envelope being plainly marked “SAP-53(83)”. If submitting electronically, please include this information on a cover sheet with your bid submission.
Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid bond/security deposit or certified check in an amount equal to 5% of the bid, payable to Oktibbeha County and the State of Mississippi as bid security. In the event that an electronic bid is submitted, a copy of the bid bond must be included with the submission. If submitting electronically, a hard copy of all bid documents must be provided within 3 business days if requested after the bid opening.
Bidders are herby notified that any proposal accompanied by letters qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid and such proposal will not be considered in making the award.
